Capriccio Music was established in 2009 by Liz Winter and Nigel Yandell
Liz Winter is a writer, fund raiser, former financial journalist and life-long music lover. She has years of experience in organising concerts and supporting young musicians. She is a director of the National Chamber Music School, Pro Corda and is a supporter of several orchestras and music ensembles. She is currently the Development Director and a Fellow of Corpus Christi College Cambridge.
Nigel Yandell studied music at the University of York and went on to complete graduate studies at Wadham College, Oxford. As well as research interests in music he is an experienced solo pianist, accompanist, chamber musician and teacher. A contributor to the most recent edition of the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, he has lectured widely in the UK and Europe. He was elected a Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge in 2001 - where in 2008 he was appointed Senior Researcher in Music. Formerly a director of the London Sinfonietta and Palace Opera, he is currently Senior Treasurer of the Cambridge University Opera Society, a director of Pro Corda and the Alwyn Foundation, and is also a trustee of the Cambridge Union Society.
