Capriccio Music is an organisation committed to the promotion, understanding and appreciation of chamber music.
Established in Cambridge in 2009, Capriccio Music has ambitious plans for 2010 and beyond, with a vision based around the following objectives:
- Promoting concerts that aspire to the highest international standards
- Identifying and developing audiences committed to the advancement of chamber music in the 21st century
- Recognising and promoting new musical talent within the UK and beyond
- Exploring and developing innovative and exciting programming
- Providing performance opportunities for young artists
- Promoting and encouraging the composition and performance of new works
- Developing imaginative cross-disciplinary collaborations
- Encouraging and supporting the development of chamber music programmes in schools and colleges
- Promoting greater public awareness of the diversity and richness of chamber music and its traditions
